One of the key challenges faced by QNet has been the grey area that all direct selling companies in India fall under. Till recently, there was no recognized nodal authority for this industry, there is no legislation to govern or regulate this business. Hence, it is not just QNet, but several other well-known direct selling companies which have come under the legal scanner in different states in India, typically under the PCMC Act. The direct selling industry or multi-level marketing (MLM) industry has been subject to a lot of conjecture owing to the grey areas surrounding it in the past.
